Cuban Redneck DIY Channel
Welcome to the Cuban Redneck DIY Channel, a website dedicated to Do-It-Yourself projects on the cheap for your house, car, boat, motorcycle, and more! My name is JC, and many of my fishing and hunting friends call me the Cuban Redneck, and that is how this channel got its name! For those unfamiliar with Cuban culture, the word “REDNECK” is a rough translation for GUAJIRO and what many close friends used to call my grandfather. That is also a common nickname for people from the countryside! Although somewhat of an inside joke, I find it appropriate as the name for my newest YouTube channel. As to why the channel? As my wife and I stage our retirement, we find ourselves with a lot of time on our hands and a ton of things to do around our new home in South West Florida. When we moved to SWFL, we looked not only to downsize but to also have a nice yard to grow vegetables and stuff. It was not long before several of my friends, most of them on the east coast, started to request videos and updates of how things were coming along. The easiest way to share all of these projects was through a YouTube channel. That is how we got here. With that said, thousands of subscribers and millions of views was not something I was expecting. Especially with food and cooking videos! This was supposed to be a DIY Channel, but I did one cooking video, and the request started to pour in. To keep everyone happy, I have created a dedicated playlist to every topic on the channel and adopted a format where we do cooking and grilling videos on Tuesdays and All kinds of DIY stuff on Fridays.
I look forward to having you as a subscriber and an interactive part of my community!
